we all decided to start pap’s weekend celebrations off with a family brunch. everyone was busy doings something. baking. cooking. cutting. setting the table. lien + me decided to educate everyone in the amazing taste sensation that is pancakes with bacon + maple syrup…sooo amazing!! served with champagne and finishing off with the amazing bee sting cake…sourced from the lovely bakers @ pierre’s patisserie in turramurra. INCREDIBLE!

got up late today…such a terrible habit. oh wells. get ready. off to meet lindi + jo. pick them up in darlinghurst. head to newtown. luckily find a park. walk towards king street. browse a couple of shops. decide to get some lunch. sushi train! chat and laugh. walk to black star cafe. have been going on about this cake for days now. watermelon + strawberry…incredible. orders some coffees + cake. sit down. bit chilly. decide to head back home. traffic terrible. sun is making me sleepy. finally get home. go to shops with mam. buy some groceries. come home and make delicious salad. yum! watch a movie. time for bed. night x

caught up with my dearest dani. walked up to newtown from redfern. so good to catchup. missed her so much since she left london. strolled around for a while. some pretty good graffiti around. nothing like shoreditch though (sigh). takes me to black star cafe. omg watermelon + strawberry cake…is it even possible!! most amazing thing ever…it has real watermelon in it…unbelievable! haha mister spock! dani finds an awesome bicycle she wants. white rimmed wheels. cute. incredible organic food shop in enmore. am going to have to come back here. find another space invader…woop! oh oscillate wildly…what i would give to dine there. amazing degustation menu. eventually stroll back + bid her farewell. a mighty fine day indeed!
